DJs for Weddings and Parties

A good DJ reads the room: Bollywood and Punjabi for the family, current hits for your friends, and a clear mic for announcements. We suggest DJs with the right music and equipment for your event and city.

Why book a dj?

A DJ keeps the dance floor full for hours with any song your guests ask for, from old Bollywood to this week's hits. It's the easiest way to cover a long party or a sangeet with lots of performances.

A good DJ also handles the mic: announcements, games and cues for family dances. That's why many events book a DJ even when there's a live band earlier in the evening.

Share the event type, guest count and venue, and we'll send DJs who are free on your date, with their sets and prices.

What affects the price

Every quote is itemised, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

  • Hours of play, and whether the party may run late
  • Size of the sound system for your guest count
  • Lights, effects, LED walls or a dance floor
  • An MC, dhol players or other add-ons
  • Travel if the venue is outside the DJ's city

Hiring DJs: your questions

Ask us on WhatsApp
Should I book a DJ or a live band?

A DJ gives you any song and non-stop dancing; a band brings a live feel that guests watch. Many weddings book a band for the evening and a DJ for the late party.

Do DJs bring lights and a dance floor?

It varies. Some include lights and effects, others charge extra, and dance floors are often arranged by the venue or decorator. Every quote we send says what's included.

Until what time can the DJ play?

That depends on your venue's cut-off and local noise rules, which differ from city to city. Ask your venue for its closing time and include it in your enquiry.

Can the DJ play our playlist?

Yes. Share your must-play list and the songs to avoid. Most DJs also mix in requests on the night.

Does the DJ need anything from the venue?

Usually a table, power close by and a safe place for equipment. Large setups may need a separate power line, which your quote will mention.

Can the DJ cue our sangeet performances?

Yes. Send the tracks in advance and the DJ will play them in your running order.
